      Verdict

Easy Salisbury winner Wightman was engaged yesterday at Haydock. Penwortham likes it here but has been done no favours by the draw. Stable companion Pacino has fared better in that respect but this is not a track for an untested amateur and William Easterby has more experience than most. He partnered PARYS MOUNTAIN (NAP) to victory here 12 months ago and Tim Easterby’s grey, who won at Catterick last month, is only a pound higher this year and likely to be out of trouble at the head of affairs. Model Guest keeps knocking on the door but may come up short again, though should get a good ride from Brodie Hampson.
