Verdict

This looks a match on official ratings. Memphis Tennessee has his first start since going wrong in the Hardwicke at Ascot last June. He'd won last year's renewal of this in soft ground before that and has obvious claims but MOUNT ATHOS may prove too good this time around. The latter was beaten in Group 1 races at the end of last season but had landed a treble in fine style earlier culminating with victory in the Geoffrey Freer at Newbury. Luca Cumani's charge goes well fresh and gets the nod. The remainder will do well to be involved in the finish with Communicator looking the best of those ahead of last year's Gowran winner Zafarqand.
