In depth

Verdict

David Evans has won this twice in the last 10 years but Chasanda was only fourth at Newcastle after winning a race at Windsor which hasn’t worked out. Many of the fancied runners are drawn out wide including Doncaster scorer Show Me Show Me, who also has a small penalty, and the so-far unbeaten Electric Ladyland. But GREAT DAME will have no excuses from stall three and she had the proverbial ton in hand on her second start at Ripon having been prominent throughout. Top Buck looks a danger as he will almost certainly improve on his second at Windsor with Frankie’s mount Album possibly best of the rest.
