Verdict

HARBINGER bounced back with a bang at Newbury last time and will be hard to beat here despite a 3lb penalty; the obvious threat is Age Of Aquarius after his gallant French Group One second, whilst Munsef is no back number. Sir Michael Stoute's colt was exceedingly impressive at Newbury in the John Porter Stakes where he travelled with ominous purpose throughout. This longer trip around this course should be well within his reach and having won here before, his ability to act around the track is not in question. Age Of Aquarius has two excellent Group One efforts to its name and this Galileo colt looks a major player here. He has not always looked the most durable so first-time-up may be the time to catch him and a bold run is expected. Munsef is a course and distance winner and was in fine fettle when last seen over in Australia; his sixth-placed finish was a superb performance and given his record at the track he is not discounted back in this hemisphere. Once More Dubai has now won three of his last four starts after solid handicap wins over in Dubai this winter and he is not discounted, whilst Snoqualmie Girl has won at the track before but is yet to prove stamina for this trip. Fellow female Victoria Montoya completes the field but she has a lot to find on official ratings and looks likely to be outclassed, perhaps by Harbinger who is fancied to win again.
