Verdict

A runner-up in last year's renewal, Chosen Character can take up his preferred front-running role from a low draw and should figure. Alejandro carries a heavy burden dropping down in class after winning at York while Dr Red Eye returned to form with victory at Epsom last time and remains well weighted on past form at the track. My Single Malt and Mishaal are recent winners upped in class while Knight Owl failed to cope with a 6lb rise at Newbury last time. Sir Guy Porteus could figure if back to his best but DEAUVILLE PRINCE hinted at a return to form in better company at Ascot last time. Tom Dascombe's charge gets a speculative vote dropped in class for this.
