Barry Hills recorded back to back successes in this race in 2002/3 and his record at the Roodee means that Sole Danser and Power Punch can't be ignored but stronger form claims, albeit on limited evidence, are held by PROFONDO ROSSO with Ibsaar an interesting newcomer. Willie Haggas is the trainer responsible for Ibsaar and he has scored with two of the six juveniles that he's run at this track so any support for the half-brother to the Listed placed Mosqueras Romance would look significant but he may need more time. Profondo Rosso can be expected to improve from his Newbury debut and he showed enough in a race that should work out to believe that he should have little trouble taking an average maiden. He isn't as well drawn as Cuban Quality who has shown ability on both starts and could figure whilst Power Punch and Sole Danser did make their first appearances in a much stronger race than this at Newmarket's July meeting and could conceivably leave that form behind. Rigolleto should improve for his run at Bath and the longer trip but he looks to have something to find with Profondo Rosso.
