In depth

Verdict

Bermuda Pointe, Magot de Grugy and Flashing Wild make the shortlist here with Bermuda Pointe taken to come out on top. Three time hurdle winner Magot de Grugy ran well to be second recently but in two subsequent runs has disappointed. He is yet to win over fences and is passed over. Flashing Wild has shown glimmers of ability and is less exposed than his rivals. This is an ordinary affair and he is taking a drop in class. He needs to show more though to justify getting the vote. Bermuda Pointe hails from a yard in form, and he scored at Towcester, before being just run out of it close home on a return visit to the track. He has gone up seven pouns for that defeat, but the opposition here is modest and he can return to winning form.
