Verdict

Mexican Mick ran well on soft ground here in August and again on testing going at Leicester last week behind Medburn Cutler, who runs earlier. Ring Eye usually goes well here and won over the course and distance in July from a 5lb higher mark. Thundering Home has been in winning form over hurdles but may find this on the short side nowadays, a remark that also applies to top weight Grams And Ounces. BERNISDALE (NAP) won over 1m5f on ground with some give at Bath last summer and showed herself in good form with a victory at Newton Abbot last month - he gets the vote in a very moderate affair.
