In depth

Verdict

Pennfield Pirate can hardly be followed after a couple of poor efforts though he scored over the C&D on soft ground just over a year ago. Resplendent Light is better over further but Fastada is running well enough to make her presence felt despite being a maiden after 11 starts. Kavachi last won a race just over a year ago from a mark of 77. He's dropped 15lb as a consequence and, after showing signs of a revival at Brighton last time, looks a threat to all but a chance is taken with NOTABADLAD. Simon Dow's charge had shown nothing in four starts before catching the eye with a strong late finish on soft ground at Lingfield and, providing conditions remain similar, can get off the mark now as Signora Frasi appears better over shorter on quicker going.
