In depth

Verdict

Grey Gold carries 5lb less than when second in this last year. He beat BRIGHT NEW DAWN (NAP), Bold Henry and Pearls Legend at Sandown two runs ago but Venetia Williams’ charge looks the pick of the weights today and should now be cherry-ripe after a couple of starts for new connections. The ground looks much too soft for Canicallyouback, who has his first run since October, while Sew On Target has probably been feeling his age a little this season. Module is eased in grade but has had his problems since beating Dodging Bullets in the Game Spirit in 2014.
