    Verdict

WATER DANCER didn't run at two or three but now faces the starter for the eighth time in 2015. He showed fair form on his first six starts before showing an impressive turn of foot to score at Kempton when dropped to 7f and the application of first-time blinkers. He's back up to 1m now and it's no surprise to see headgear retained after such an improved showing. Hopefully he'll prove as effective on Turf. Poor Duke had only beaten three of 32 rivals in three previous runs before thrashing his field by 9l at Leicester and is up 9lb as a result. It's anyone's guess if he'll back up that massive improvement. All of Peak Storm's five wins have come here and he was only inches away from making it six last time. He must be respected at this venue and My Son Max, although looking in the grip of the assessor, should still run his usual solid race.
