Verdict

FARMERS WISH looks the obvious choice in this maiden and he is taken to get the better of Bridge Valley and City Of Rome. The selection has shaped with promise in each of her runs to date, most recently when she chased home Shamandar at Ripon and if she can build on that latest effort then she should be hard to beat. The only worry is the ground as she has only so far raced on a fast surface. Bridge Valley wasn't beaten far over 7f at Warwick last time and he has shown an ability to handle cut in the ground so he should be the one to profit if the selection fails to fire. His stablemate City Of Rome should not be dismissed lightly but he was well beaten on his debut at Sandown and he will need to improve considerably on that if he is trouble the judge tonight. There are four newcomers in this race and the market may well provide the clues over which, if any, are fancied. However, we are happy to stick with Farmers Wish who looks the one to beat.
