      Verdict

Likely hot favourite Hollies Pearl was due to line-up for the opener at Haydock yesterday so is a doubtful runner. In her probable absence, this is a modest affair though Goldray was placed three times last year so must have some sort of chance. Ivor's Queen returns from a lengthy lay-off but also goes on the short-list and Bowberry has won twice on the all-weather. THE MISSUS gets a tentative vote as she shaped much better on her latest start at Doncaster and seems best on good going.
