In depth

Verdict

A poor contest here but something has to win and the principals look to be Jupon Vert, Ask the Umpire and Roaringwater and the tentative nomination is given to the old stager Jupon Vert. The selection has been running in much better races than this of late has Jupon Vert.conditions to suit and despite his age under conditions that suit he is taken to regain the winning thread. Ask The Umpire rates the main danger on his best form but consistency is not his strong point and at likely odds he is taken on. Roaringwatwer hails from a yard in form and is dropping in class so he should be watched in the market. Of the remainder Kinkeel is game and consistent and is sure to run her race but has had plenty of chances and is becoming expensive to follow. Of the others Paradise Expected was a fair third last time and is another with place claims but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Jupon Vert.
