It was soft ground when Bonjour Steve beat Noverre To Go over track and trip last month and the latter went on to score in soft going at Brighton. Divine Call finished behind the latter pair before winning at Goodwood while Spirit Of Wedza went close in a maiden contest here before returning a losing favourite at Hamilton. GOLD CLUB landed a double on the all-weather earlier in the year and wasn't beaten far when fourth in better company at Nottingham last time. Ed McMahon's charge can race off the same mark today and may well come good again.
