Verdict

A total of seven runners go for the final race on the card at 5:35, with Soundtrack carrying topweight of 11st 12lb. He has not raced since February 2002, but is well treated on his best form. Sullane Storm finally got his act together at Taunton after breaking a blood vessel just six days earlier. Martin Pipe's charge took on better company than this in Ireland, and providing he remains sound, can make his presence felt. The other proviso is that he can handle the faster ground here. Zaggy Lane looks the one to beat though after a number of good efforts this term, including against the likes of See More Business and Gunner Welburn on his two latest starts. Simon Burrough's 11-year-old is another who is well-handicapped on form of old, and a clear round should make him hard to beat.
