In depth

Verdict

This is a wide-open contest in which the leading lights are Victory Gunner, Over The Blues and No Guarantees and the vote is given to the last mentioned. The selection took a while to win over hurdles, but he shaped as though he's going to make a better chaser and he jumped well when finishing second behind Not Left Yet at Carlisle last time. He is sure to benefit from the experience and he gets our vote. Victory Gunner was pulled-up at Cheltenham when last seen out and he is thoroughly exposed over fences compared to our selection, but he still has some decent form timber and should not be dismissed lightly. Over The Blues made a winning debut over fences and although more is required today, his yard are in form and he is one to note in the market. Sungates has a penalty for his latest win which will make life tough and we will return to No Guarantees as our selection.
