Verdict

Burundi is bound to be a popular choice to follow up his recent Wetherby success and is difficult to oppose. With Wetherby second After Me Boys (beaten five lengths) having franked the form since, that looks a decent effort and off just a 6lb higher mark, on ground that suits, the son of Danehill has an obvious chance. Lack of pace is a worry but the opposition does not look strong. Top weight Millcroft Seaspray is entitled to improve after just eight career starts but may find things happen to quickly for him on ground as fast as this. Spring Grove continues to slide down the weights after several disappointing efforts and cannot be backed with any confidence, while Ismene may need the outing having fallen early on his first run back since the summer at Huntingdon.
