      Verdict

Essgee Nics won at Bath when dropped back to 1m2f while Night Time Girl moves in the opposite direction having won over a mile at Wolverhampton. Island Nation finished second over track and trip last time without threatening the winner but COMPETITION (NAP) finished a decent third at Ripon last week in a much tougher race than this and a bold bid is expected from Mick Appleby’s charge in this lesser company. Celtic Classic may prove best of the rest.
