In depth

Verdict

There probably wasn't much between African Broadway and SAINT LUKE on bumper form last season. David Pipe's five-year-old arguably has more scope but the latter is unbeaten in two runs at this track and, with plenty of stamina in his pedigree, is taken to come out on top today and land this. Lundy Sky was also a decent bumper horse and was progressive over hurdles, scoring over 3m at Exeter in March. He should win more races but probably over longer trips than this. Grand Vision has shown promise in NH Flat races and French import Last Shot has ability and could be interesting on his first run for Venetia Williams.
