Verdict

Sansili has had a very busy summer and appears to hold few secrets from the handicapper now but Eastlake looks capable of further improvement having kept his unbeaten record over hurdles intact with a battling performance at Hereford in August. Edgardo Sol was placed over hurdles and fences in France and makes his debut for champion Paul Nicholls today but preference is for OLD WAY. He can be forgiven his run from out of the handicap in the Imperial Cup at Sandown in March as he had looked a progressive novice prior to that run. Given plenty of time to recover, Venetia Williams' charge can bounce back here. Award Winner won over 2m7f at Fontwell last month but this is a much hotter contest.
