In depth

Verdict

Paul Nicholls runs the four-year-old French-bred Vesperal Dream here but he needs to improve on what he's shown so far. The ex-Irish Sands Cove has his first run for a new yard following a short-break while Roger Beantown has been rested since finishing second on fast ground at Market Rasen in July. Regal One and Tresor De Bontee have an even longer absence to overcome, though the latter should have further improvement in him this winter. RED RIVERMAN has proven fitness on his side and has only been raised 3lb since beating The Italian Yob at Exeter, where Flaming Charmer was beaten when falling at the last. Another victory could be on the cards as Un Bon P'tit Gars has a bit to prove at present.
