    Verdict

After winning a couple of sellers for Martin Pipe, Clodoald went in for the first time in handicap company at Huntingdon on Sunday and now that he has found some form he is taken to make it four wins on the bounce here. The ex-French gelding clearly relishes the current fast ground and is taken to improve once again over this two-and-a-half mile trip. Stablemate Intox III is another who loves it firm underfoot, but may just struggle to get home over the longer trip and the alternative to the selection is Il Capitano. Clearly, the worry with Paul Nicholls' gelding is whether this trip is on the shot side for him and he does also have to shoulder 12st 2lbs here, but the ground will be in his favour and he is in great heart after defeating the tough Tiger Grass the other day.
