It would be no surprise to see punters hunting out lucky pins rather than formbook analysis for the winners at this stage of proceedings and LYTTON is where ours dropped with Tadlil and Peopleton Brook not far away from our thoughts. The small worry has to be that we have not seen this gelding at the racecourse for some time. That said, he has gone well in the fresh and this race is far from the greatest to ever be staged at Chepstow. Tadlil invariably appears unlucky in running but there has been nothing to shout about of late and even a drop by the assessor struggles to get our attention. Peopleton Brook is often apprentice ridden. The booking of Shane Kelly implies a certain amount of intent and it would be no surprise to see him plenty of use being made of him. Connor's Choice was a surprise winner of a seller at Lingfield though he had been rated significantly higher in the past by the assessor. Bermondsey Bob famously won at 150/1 in a juvenile maiden though lightening has not struck twice. Cardinal looks as if this trip is a bare minimum for him so any softening of the surface would very much be to his advantage. Recent Bath winner Cwmni dotted up in selling grade but was found out spectacularly in a handicap at the track and is effectively in again off the same mark this afternoon. Lytton is the selection in a race unlikely to raise much of a stir in the morning papers.
