Verdict

Mango Catcher lost no caste in defeat behind Wot Way Chief at Doncaster and he has every chance off just a 1lb higher mark today but marginal preference is for WATERSPRAY, who gets the verdict over Aheadofhistime. The last mentioned ran well here over 2m4f last time, should not be inconvenienced by the return to two miles but he may be a shade high in the weights now. Amble Forge has been harshly punished for his win in testing ground at Warwick, while Michael Scudamore's Arumun is proving to be hard to win with. Neil Mulholland's Roofing Spirit could be of interest back over hurdles but looks too high in the handicap and preference is for Waterspray. John Spearing's gelding was running consistently well when last seen and has been waiting for suitable ground conditions that he has today so he is taken to gain a deserved success.
