In depth

Verdict

Onefootinfront has placed twice over this trip in handicaps recently and was almost four lengths ahead of Poetic Affair last time at Beverley. The latter is not one of Mark Johnston’s stable stars. Brighton winner Happy Ending was nearest at the finish at Windsor last month so a further step up in distance should suit but it was heavy going when Master Grey beat two rivals over 1m6f at Salisbury in April and he’s gone backwards since. DUBAI FRAME (NAP) improved with experience last year and needed the run when only sixth on his reappearance at Lingfield. He has a nice staying pedigree and better is expected now.
