Verdict

Ballyvaddy, Montifault and Double Honour are three against there field in another tough race to call for punters and the tentative vote goes to Montifault. The selection was very disappointing in the main last season but as a consequence has dropped to a handy mark. He goes well fresh and with conditions in his favour and his yard in form he is taken to score. Ballyvaddy rates the main danger as he won well last time out when defeating Surefast. This is a lot more competitive but he won in the style of an improver last time and could still be ahead of the handicapper so he has definite place claims. Double Honour is another that could go well he also won well last time when defeating Maximize. However that rival is weighted to gain his revenge here so their should not be much between them. Twisted Lodgic is another worthy of respect he was in the form of his life at the end of last season but he has risen sharply in the weights and this looks tougher so he is passed over on this occasion. Of the remainder Jacquemart Colombe won well last time out when defeating Nocksky however that form has sine been let down and in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Montifault.
