In depth

Verdict

Caulkin is running in this for the fourth time but he found Pauline Harkin's mare Popaway six lengths too good last year. Delta Borget was fourth 12 months ago with Swallows Delight, Bay To Go and 2011 winner Noble Ben further behind. Sam Cavallaro has improved of late, following up a second to Pacha Du Polder at Ludlow with a victory between the flags but PENMORE MILL looks the one to beat. Fred Hutsby trained the winner of this in 2012 and his 10-year-old is a prolific winner between the flags and under Rules. Ideally suited by good going, he's won over 2m3f so should have the pace for this.
