Verdict

Fillies have a surprisingly good record in this handicap and Missy Tata, who has had a break, may be worth a second look under Ireland's leading claimer Jack Kennedy. Voix Du Reve failed to land the odds on his debut for the Mullins stable at Fairyhouse but headgear could bring about some improvement. Paul Nicholls saddled the winner of this last year and Diego Du Charmil will likely be popular as the handicapper has had little to work with. But the vote goes to another French import in MESSIRE DES OBEAUX. Easy to back and a little keen on his UK debut in the Victor Ludorum at Haydock, he only weakened on the run-in and will strip fitter here. He is weighted to reverse that form with top weight Fixe Le Kap. Stablemate Ardamir and Jaleo are others to consider in a race in which the winner will need plenty of luck in-running.
