Quaddick Lake will be high on most shortlists as he chases a hat-trick but this new mark of 116 asks more questions and he is passed over in favour of ARTURO UNO. Every Nigel Twiston-Davies trained winner at this track is cheered to the rafters and it may be worth taking a chance on his handicap debutant. The step back up in trip on better ground is expected to suit this unexposed gelding and with According To Dick franking the form of his last start he may be leniently treated on a mark of 103. Line Artic, Top Ram and Acapulco Bay all come here on the back of wins in lesser company, whilst Dont Tell The Wife and Easter Legend are well-thought-of but need to step up on their recent outings. The consistent pair of Silver Spinner and Long Hop give trainer Alan King a strong hand, whilst Picture This looks a potential improver. Paul Nicholls' gelding has only had 5 career starts and if he handles this quicker ground and big field then he is unlikely to be far away. Gabreselassie may improve for a run but may be better over a marathon distance, Lord Shark and Beyond Redemption still have improvement to come, whilst Cavallini represents a shrewd yard and should again be on the premises. A big field and plenty of form to sort through, but we will take a chance on Arturo Uno.
