Verdict

Kadoun, Millenium Royal, Adamant Approach and Monolith are the four to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Kadoun. The selection won this race last year and despite being well beaten last time at Leopardstown it is worth pointing out that he had disappointing in the build-up to this race last year before going on to score. He finished behind Adamant Approach last time but he has clearly been primed for this race, he has AP McCoy as his pilot and he will be suited by the drying ground so he has rock solid claims. Adamant Approach is an obvious danger as he won well last time and he has run well here in the past. However, he is in the twilight of his career and he is high enough in the weights so he although he has claims, he may have to settle for a place return. Millenium Royal was a Grade 1 winner in France and he scored when returning from a break at Haydock last time getting the better of Hirvine. However, all his wins have come on really testing ground and for that reason he is opposed. Monolith finished well down the field behind Millenium Royal last time but he was returning from a break that day and he will be seen to better effect on this more suitable ground. Rhinestone Cowboy was also well beaten in that Haydock race and he hasn't won now for three years so he is not the force that he once was and he is readily opposed. Material World remains relatively lightly-raced for a 9-year-old and her best form would give her a chance today. However, there is plenty to like about Kadoun and we think he will take plenty of beating.
