Verdict

This race hasn't been kind to favourite backers of late and we'll take a view about SEGO SUCCESS on this occasion. Alan King's seven year old was in the process of running a solid race at the Festival before making a mistake at a vital stage, and with the benefit of a recent outing, he appears to be in off a feasible mark at present. Upswing will be popular following his victory at Worcester and any rain would be a positive. Spring Heeled and Just A Par are likely sorts for the Grand National though both have enjoyed big paydays in the past. The former won the Kim Muir in 2014 and wasn't too far away in the Munster National last month. The assessor hasn't had many opportunities to look at Knockanrawley and he cannot be ruled out despite a sizeable absence. Shotgun Paddy possesses horrific looking form figures but he is a classy individual on his day and the handicapper has dropped him massively down the weights.
