He won subsequently on the course but didn’t get far in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury at the start of the month and the Twiston-Davies stayer enjoys a 10lb pull in the weights on that earlier run – he won this last year off the same mark. Singlefarmpayment was only beaten a head 12 months ago and has every chance of reversing the form with the selection on 6lb better terms, though is hard to win with. Beau Du Brizais wasn’t disgraced when fifth in the Badger Beers at Wincanton but seventh Rock The Kasbah will strip fitter here and may reverse the form here with his stablemate.
