In depth

Verdict

Barnaviddaun is making his chasing bow but was pulled up in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle at Aintree when last seen. J'Ai Froid finished second that day but didn’t jump well when only third on his first run over fences. BARBADOS BUCK’S was even more wayward at Wetherby but he will have been intensively schooled since and blinkers are applied. This trip will suit and he’s nicely treated on his hurdles form so the Nicholls’ novice gets another chance, though Coeur Serein would have won at Lingfield had he not fallen at the last. Corach Rambler looks the pick of the remainder.
