Verdict

Another tough contest for punters to call, but the main players appear to be Jockser, Refinement and Valley Ride and the narrow nomination is given to Valley Ride. The selection was a fair fifth behind Monolith last time out, that form has since been franked and, off the same mark and with this longer trip sure to suit, he looks a value bet in an open affair. Jockser rates the main danger, as he was a good second behind the well handicapped Star de Mohaison last time . That form looks solid but he may be vulnerable to a less exposed type and is therefore opposable. Refinement was a fair third behind Bold Fire last time and is another with place claims. But she is also looks weighted up to her best. Ostfanni was a fair second behind Acordello last time but has yet to prove she stays this far, and she also looks opposable on that basis. Korelo is well in on his best form but needs luck on his side under top weight, while Rushneeyriver is progressive and could go well at a price. But for the winner we return to Valley Ride.
