Verdict

Teenagers Pearlysteps and Take The Stand have won this in recent years so advancing years is no barrier to success. Arkose is the senior runner this year but his overall form doesn’t look good enough. BAREL OF LAUGHS (NAP) is a stout stayer and clear on official ratings so is the obvious choice given he only found one too good here 12 months ago. Talkonthestreet hasn’t had much racing in recent years but did win a point-to-point last month and was a promising stayer for Philip Hobbs a few years ago. Beggar's Velvet and Real Milan have each-way claims and look best of the rest.
