        Verdict

        Upavon was placed at Lingfield last time when ahead of Reckless Endeavour and Ascot Day, who both ran below par. Tropics finished in front of Fast Track when scoring at Wolverhampton last month and was also ahead of Zac Brown when only fourth at Lingfield. Hakam just missed out over 5f here a fortnight ago and has every chance but SIGN OF THE KODIAC (NAP) makes more appeal. The latter failed to threaten in a higher grade sprint over the minimum trip on his first start for Tony Newcombe but he’s a course and distance winner and was beaten only a neck at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start.
