White Dog showed his first real sign of form over this trip at Kempton in February but hasn't run since failing to stay 1m5f here a week later. The veteran Understory hasn't won since 2013 but has been placed on numerous occasions and this is such a poor contest that it would be no surprise to see him in the firing-line. Ferryview Place is capable of winning from this sort of mark as though it was a seller when he finished runner-up here in October this is no better. Josh Perry is only three and has shown the occasional sign of ability while Magic Mirror showed some pace on her handicap debut at Wolverhampton. PURPLE BELLE showed nothing in her early races but has improved slightly and was staying on when tackling this course and distance earlier this month. This won't take much winning and she has each-way possibilities so gets the nod.
