Verdict

Aleef is a speedy sort but isn't particularly well drawn. Bowson Fred is still 10lb higher than when winning in a lower grade over course and distance in June but Kimberella has to go on the short-list as he's won twice over the minimum trip, though his best form has been over 6f lately. It would be no surprise to see SIR MAXIMILIAN go well, despite a lay-off. He hasn't raced since the King's Stand Stakes in June and will probably be heading back to Dubai in the New Year but he has the class to figure in a race like this if fully wound-up. Encore d'Or has also had a break but Doctor Sardonicus was only beaten a nose over 6f here last month and shouldn't mind dropping back a furlong.
