    Verdict

Scarpeta went close to landing a hat-trick when runner-up at Nottingham but is upped a further 3lb for his trouble. ST MICHEL is preferred as he was placed in a much tougher handicap than this at Musselburgh and Sir Mark Prescott’s charge will no doubt improve for today’s extra distance. Recognition landed a double on the all-weather over 1m4f earlier but something seemed to be amiss at Sandown last time while Dream Factory and Heavensfield step up in trip now handicapping for the first time.
