In depth

Verdict

The progressive Baileys Mirage and Crew Cut are both raised in class on the back of recent wins with the former preferred despite an 8lb rise after making all at Newcastle. Gentlemen is up a further 5lb for his latest success over track and trip while Magnus Maximus scored at Kempton three weeks ago. But the latter had earlier finished behind Steelriver and the top weight was ahead of Boomerang Bob when going close at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start. FRANCISCO (NAP) disappointed at Windsor only 10 days after finsihing second to Clear Spring in a higher grade sprint than this at Newbury. Richard Hannon’s charge is worth another chance on that Newbury form and gets the nod.
