In depth

Verdict

Rated 70, ROYAL PEARL comes out best at the weights and may prove good enough in this lowly plating race as she steps up in trip. She is just preferred to Not So Gentle, who drops back down in distance today and finished ahead of Captain Gerald when third over 1m2f at Bath last month. The remainder have plenty to find on these terms including Somers Lad and recent Kempton runner-up, Its A Sheila Thing.
