Verdict

BAYFIRTH is the selection with Barrys Ark and Whatdoidowiththat also making the shortlist. Bayfirth had shown precious little form before staying on to chase home Little Shilling at Musselburgh. It is certainly no given to suggest that he can reproduce that effort here but off a mark of 73, he has to have a fair chance of doing so. Barrys Ark is ten years young but is lightly raced. He appears an out-and-out stayer. He was ahead of Classic Chic when the pair finished behind Coda Agency at Towcester. Whatdoidowiththat ran lamentably at Doncaster last time out but he has shaped well over extended trips in the past and at the likely odds, he makes plenty of appeal. Bleu Pois has been badly out of sorts of late. Kinfayre Boy hasn't entirely convinced over this trip despite finishing third at this course earlier in the month. Bayfirth makes most appeal in a race where plenty come to the races in moderate form.
