In depth

Formwatch

Nowell House Useful flat handicapper; hacked up on hurdles debut at Sedgefield and well up to defying a penalty.

Stormin' Native (IRE) Did nothing wrong over the C+D last time; better opposition and faster ground make this a bit tougher.

Wag The Brush Pulled up lame last time but chances on handicap form here last year.

Miss All Alone Scored at Leicester in December but needs improvement to figure.

Ballymore Rover (IRE) Well beaten here last time and hard to make any sort of claim.

Captain Biggles Has not been right and needed the outing at Sedgefield a fortnight ago.

Carins Hill Did not progress after promising bumper debut and returns from over a year off.

Droit de Seigneur (USA) Needed his return to action at Doncaster but does not look capable of adding to his trainer's bright start.

Narrow Escape Well behind so far and would be a shock winner.

Tiger Talk Has the experience but does not have the same scope as one or two others.

Westmeath Flyer Has found one too good on all five starts but gets weight off the principals and has a decent jockey. Place claims.

Ouzel (IRE) Did not impress on timber debut at Southwell and probably needs more time.

High Seas (IRE) Trainer in a bit of form, horse is not and cannot be fancied here.

Jimmy Wiskers (IRE) Was not unfancied on Doncaster debut and will be seen to better effect over further in time.

Karajan (IRE) Mainly disappointing on the flat and not certain to have the stamina for this.

Romney Has shown enough to suggest he is worth persisting with on better ground. Not today though.
