    Verdict

Roger Curtis has his runners in good form and ROMNEY MARSH can make the trip up from Lambourn worthwhile for him, while Dippy Duck and Gunadoir are interesting opponents. Romney Marsh can be a bit of a madam at times, but there has been no evidence of that on her last two starts when she has gone close at both Plumpton and Folkestone. She has gone up a total of 8lbs for those two defeats, but conditions and trip will suit her and she is at least in good heart, so we¿ll go with her. Dippy Duck ran well in selling company last time and has gone up 4lbs as a result. The going suits although this drop back in trip is not certain to do so and we will take her on. Gunadoir races from a mark 2lbs below the one she finished second from in a Carlisle handicap chase earlier in the season. The yard had a winner the other day and first-time headgear into the bargain makes her a very interesting proposition. Madge ran with enough credit last time to suggest that, on ground she enjoys, she can give Graham Lee a decent ride here, while Victorias goes well enough here and has scope for some improvement. Teviot Lass should not be worried by the drop back to this trip and looks likely to give a good account but preference is for Romney Marsh.
