Verdict

Gilbey's Mate has gone the wrong way since a debut fifth at Newmarket. But this is his easiest task to date and he should go close if handling the soft ground. Today's surface will not be a hindrance to RONYA, however, as she finished third in similar ground at Ayr last month. Karl Burke's filly gets the nod with further progress expected. Namely, Kalahari Kingdom and Giant Samurai have more to find than the selection if they're to score, but the newcomer Bint Malyana is worth noting.
