Verdict

Last year's winner Poetic Verse is 7lb higher this time around though he arrives in good form having won over hurdles last month. But it could pay to stick with CLASSIC VILLAGER as he bids for a four-timer having done just enough to score over track and trip on his latest start. Only Orsenfoolsies was upped 7lb for winning at Hamilton in May and has struggled subsequently in Listed company while something went amiss with previous York winner Sellingallthetime when tailed off at Pontefract. Both Light Of Asia and Dominada have plenty to find with the selection.
