Several have been threatening over shorter trips but CHAPLIN BAY scored over 7f in heavy going at Ayr last time and is only 3lb higher today. Radjash went close in a maiden over 6f here recently and will be winning soon while Perfect Swiss has placed over the latter trip on recent starts and Mightaswellsmile finished runner-up over 6f here at the start of the month. Billy Wedge found only one too good the last time he raced over today’s distance but Tarnhelm’s earlier double at Carlisle came over 6f.
