In depth

Verdict

Both Cyclop and The Galloping Bear failed to complete in the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow over Christmas. The former was tailed off when pulled up but the latter still had an outside chance when falling four out. It’s a long time since Sam's Adventure showed any worthwhile form but Bushypark hinted at a revival over hurdles at Newcastle five days ago and Eclair De Guye stays well, though hasn’t won in more than two years. LEGENDS RYDE (NAP) won over 3m2f last season and was a fair third over a shorter trip off this mark at Cheltenham recently. She has won on soft and heavy going and might be the pick of the weights in this.
