In depth

Verdict

ALEXANDER ROAD has been a little disappointing in her two runs to date over fences, dropping out quickly over 2m5f at Wetherby last month. This test of stamina should suit, however, and she's given a final chance to shine in a race that probably won't take much winning. Honest John had some decent form over hurdles and is another who'll enjoy the trip. He's been quite highly tried over the larger obstacles so far and is less exposed than River D'Or, though Sophie Leech's charge would probably have been placed again in a handicap at Doncaster last time had he not fallen at the last. The others appear to have a bit to find.
